Keys at Eddan and Sofieberg

At Eddan electronic locks and tags are used. Read below for instructions on how to use this type of lock and key.

Please note that you need to use your tag to open all doors from the front door and your personal room/apartment to be able to enter.

The lock's light signals

Only red light – tag not updated or unauthorised to enter. In most cases this indicates that you have not used the tag on all doors on your way to your personal room, or that you are at the wrong door.

Both green and red light – The battery is low. Make a fault report to the caretakers.

Malfunctional key/lock

If you cannot enter your room, please do the following:

  • Make sure that your tag is activated: Go to the tag reader outside your corridor and hold the tag against it for several seconds. Thereafter try to open your room.
  • If you still cannot enter your room, please contact LU Accommodation and make a fault report (weekdays 07.00 – 16.30) or LU Security (weekdays 16.30 – 07.00, and all weekends and holidays: 046-222 08 00). If there should be a fault with your key/lock you will not be charged any fee.

In some housing areas this is the only key you will receive. Where we have electronical locks this key will let you inside everywhere.
