Lund

The municipality of Lund has approximately 125 000 inhabitants (2020) and students make up almost half of the population in the city. The old University buildings are set among the cobble-stoned streets in the center of Lund, which date back to 990.

The University has gradually grown since it was founded in 1666 and is still expanding. Today you will find faculties, departments, libraries and study halls in all corners of the city. Our housing areas are as well located all around the city, from Östra Torn in the northeast of Lund to Klostergården Student house in the south.

From the very south of Lund to the very north it is not more than 6 kilometres. You will find that all of Lund is easily accessible by bike the year around.
