Who is eligible for accommodation?

Our rooms and apartments can only be booked for international guest researchers visiting the University. This means that a person holding a position/being employed at Lund University (or any other Swedish university), is not eligible to receive accommodation from us.

Guest researchers

It is common that the procedure of bringing guest researchers to Lund varies from department to department. Solutions to finances etc. may be as numerous as guest researchers visiting the university. As you as the host department know all details regarding your guest and his/her stay, you will need to verify that your guest is indeed in Sweden as a guest researcher.

Please note that if your guest will receive a wage from, or hold a position at, Lund University, they need to fit the criteria that govern postdoctoral researchers as outlined below. If they do not fit these critera, they will not be eligible for accommodation though LU Accommodation.

It is the host department that takes the responsibility to determine whether the researcher can be considered as a guest researcher or not before making a booking request with LU Accommodation. We expect that the specific situation of the researcher has been assessed according to the above.
